Drake's (Brandon Auret) mechanical Chemrail rifle from Neill Blomkamp's Elysium. Drake brandished his Chemrail rifle as he hunted for Max Da Costa (Matt Damon) with his fellow mercenaries as well as during the home invasion scene where the mercenaries abduct Frey (Alice Braga) and her daughter Matilda (Emma Tremblay), after Frey helped DeCosta.
Designed and constructed by Weta Workshop, this futuristic firearm is made primarily from resin with numerous engravings and painted details, including the word "CHEMRAIL" and several serial codes, along its body. The weapon comes equipped with a grey magazine, an accessory rail, foregrip, a spring-loaded stock, and a non-functioning tracking scope. Its trigger is depressible.
