A Terrian costume display from the sci-fi television series Earth 2. During the series short run, a group of space travelers fought for survival after crash landing on G889, an Earth-like alien planet. The Terrian alien species are subterranean bipeds indigenous to the planet G889 / Earth 2 and can be seen throughout the series. This costume was mounted onto a mannequin following the production for display purposes. Made primarily of foam latex over a spandex skin, the costume consists of a mask, torso, gloves, leggings, and feet. The seams of the costume are concealed by burlap fabric which is wrapped around the wrists and ankles. The mask is made of slip latex and includes glass eyes inserted for decoration. The Terrian stands on a biscuit foam display base that has been decorated to resemble the rough landscape of Earth 2, and the alien carries a wood staff weapon which was made specifically for the display. This piece shows some wear to the foam latex due to production use and age, with the foam hardening and cracking in numerous areas (particularly the hands), however this piece remains in otherwise good, but fragile condition.
