An Atreides soldier costume from the Emmy award-winning TV mini-series Dune. Based on the original novel by Frank Herbert, the mini series tells the story of Paul Atreides’ (Alec Newman) ascension from the son of Duke Leto Atreides (William Hurt) to becoming emperor of the known universe.
This uniform and others like it were worn by Atreides soldiers throughout the series. This custom-made brown costume consists of a tunic featuring leather on the elbows, back and shoulders, and a pair of trousers with leather strips running to a pair of leather pads at the knees. There is an attached communicator prop on the left side of the chest and the costume contains two handwritten labels which read “Cervenka” and “Bozdeck”. The costume is completed with a cap decorated with a blue emblem. The costume shows minimal wear from production use and remains in an otherwise very good condition.
