A framed limited-edition hand-painted cel recreated from original artwork for Walt Disney's Dumbo (1941) published by Disney Art Editions in 1994. It shows a gentle moment between Mrs. Jumbo and her baby Dumbo in the circus tent. To achieve the limited edition cels, Disney artists transferred original animation drawings onto acetate cels, enhanced detailing by hand-drawing ink lines and then hand-painted the artwork using approved acrylic colours. The lithographically printed background was also recreated using the original paintings, sketches and frames as reference. This particular example is hand-numbered 88/500 and comes presented in a frame within a metal frame with plexiglass and features a hanging wire on the reverse. The cel is accompanied by a The Walt Disney Company certificate of authenticity.
