An officially-licensed, 1:24-scale replica of a model of the General Lee from Gy Waldron's The Dukes of Hazzard autographed by star John Schneider. In the series, Luke (Tom Wopat) and Bo Duke (Schneider), and later their cousins Coy (Byron Cherry) and Vance Duke (Christopher Mayer), drove their signature orange 1969 Dodge Charger around Hazzard County throughout the classic series.
The General Lee appeared in 145 of the Emmy®-nominated series' 146 episodes, becoming among the most recognizable vehicles in television history. As many as 325 individual picture vehicles were used to portray the Duke car over the course of its six-year run, most of them operated and filmed by an extensive second unit crew.
To curb costs of the second unit, model miniatures were briefly substituted for life-size versions of the vehicle, until production determined that the miniatures themselves were too costly and returned to primarily live-action stunt work. This diecast model based on the look of the production originals originates from Planet Hollywood.
Created by ERTL, it features "01" and "General Lee" painted on the sides and roof, respectively, while the trunk is signed and inscribed "Yee Haw! Bo" by Schneider in black marker. Dimensions: 9.5" x 3.5" x 4" (24.25 cm x 9 cm x 10.25 cm)
