Three printed storyboard binders from Rob Cohen’s fantasy adventure film Dragonheart. Phil Tippett is credited as Designer: Dragon Designs on this title.Tippett was nominated for Best Visual Effects for his work on this film at the 69th Academy Awards^®.

These three binders are filled with printed storyboard sequences. The first binder outlines the ‘First Fight’ sequence between Draco and Bowen. The second binder outlines the ‘Waterfall’ sequence and is signed by director Rob Cohen on the cover page. The final binder is labeled ‘Boards for Continuity’ and is segregated by dividers titled ‘Cave,’ ‘Waterfall,’ ‘First Fight,’ ‘Mex. Standoff,’ ‘Mill,’ ‘Grasslands,’ ‘Ledge 3,’ ‘Ledge 4,’ ‘Karas Village,’ and ‘Karas Waterfall.’ Each sequence consists of multiple pages featuring printed panels and various notes regarding effects notes and other scene information. The lot consists of approximately 400 pages overall.

The pages show bends and folds and some pages are torn at the punched holes due to age but the lot remains in overall good condition. Dimensions (large binder): 11 ½” x 11 ½” x 4”(29 cm x 29 cm x 10 cm); dimensions (medium binder): 11 ½” x 11” x 2” (29 cm x 28 cm x 5 cm); dimensions (small binder): 11 ½” x 10” x 1” (29 cm x 25 cm x 3 cm)
