A Draco (Sean Connery) reference maquette from the production of Rob Cohen's Dragonheart. The dragon Draco replaced the heart of the mortally wounded Prince Einon (David Thewlis) with half of his own heart on the ultimately unmet condition that the Prince ruled with justice and virtue.

This maquette was created by Dragon Designer Phil Tippett's Tippett Studio during pre-production to create the beloved Draco's final Industrial Light & Magic (ILM)-animated look. Tippett was later nominated for the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects alongside Scott Squires, James Straus, and Kit West for his work on the film.

This ornately detailed dragon is cast from resin, textured with fearsome horns, talons, and scales, and finished with matte gray paint. It exhibits a split in the tail and both of its largest horns, missing or damaged talons, and various microfractures throughout from production and age. It remains fragile and should be handled with caution. Dimensions: (approx.) 20" x 40" x 18" (51 cm x 101.75 cm x 54.75 cm)
