This costume was worn by Tepes during a flashback sequence in the first and second episodes of the series when he was forced to witness his love Ilona (Jessica De Gouw) burn at the stake.
The costume comprises of a green padded doublet, brown leather trousers, brown lace-up boots, brown leather armour and right arm gauntlet. It also includes brown leather gloves and a fox fur shawl.
The armour features a ribbed design with a circular dragon and crucifix insignia in the centre - it has been lightly spray-painted faux-gold, possibly to create a burnished look. The doublet is open down the front and features holes for laces, with a handwritten label inside that reads “Jonathan”. The trousers lace up from knee to ankle and at the waist, while the boots lace up at the rear through 18 eyelets. Both the trousers and boots are hand-marked “Double”.
Each piece has been distressed for the production and features large areas of marking, dirt and stains for an aged, well-used appearance.
Despite its production-based wear, the costume contains no size markings and remains in very good overall condition.
This is an original asset used in the production of the NBC television drama Dracula. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store, Carnival and NBC Universal. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the show.
