The crate itself displays a number of period-looking bulbs with faux-gold plated metal screw tops arranged on top of a bed of straw. The crate is made from panels of wood nailed together with small gaps for holding and lifting. The wires connected to the bulbs to light them for the special effect are located under the straw. The piece has been designed to look aged to fit with the era of the show and remains in very good production-used condition and measures 58.5 cm x 40 cm x 33 cm (23” x 15 ¾” x 13”).
