Original production-used prop leather welding goggles from NBC’s 2013 vampire drama Dracula.
Alexander Grayson/Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) travels to London, pretending to be an American entrepreneur with an interest in bringing modern science to Victorian England. The guise conceals the vampire's much darker plans for revenge against those who ruined his life centuries earlier. His plan hits a snag when he meets and falls deeply in love with a woman who appears to be the reincarnation of his dead wife (Jessica De Gouw).
These goggles and others like them were worn by the resonator staff in various episodes throughout the series as they worked on Alexander Grayson’s ingenious resonator designed to provide wireless power to Victorian London. They are made of leather with a black elasticated strap around the head and round frames with black plastic lenses for each eye, giving the piece a Victoriana Steampunk aesthetic. They come in an olive green tin, with a little embossed eye piece symbol on the front. The goggles and the tin display minor signs of wear and production use, creases in the leather and scratches on the tin, but overall remain in good condition.
