A Dracula (Gerard Butler) Bust from Wes Craven's 2000 reinvention of the classic horror icon, Dracula 2000. In the film, thieves break into a sealed chamber in the hope of discovering a collection of paintings, but instead find a large secured coffin which they steal, and end up releasing the malevolent count.
When the coffin is opened, the shriveled body of Dracula rests inside until he is able to regain the strength to break his restraints. Dracula’s body is glued down to a base of wood fitted with two small metal loops at the top. The body can be screen matched to the film, and is complete from the head to the thigh. Made from silicone, the body was molded around a malleable metal understructure and has an incredibly shriveled chest section with protruding rib bones and along with the rest of the body, is painted in a pale skin tone with touches of grey, blue, and purple. The body was redressed for display after filming, and has its head fitted with a metal helmet that features long horizontal slits for the eyes, and decorative perforation at the mouth. Underneath the helmet, the head is dressed with long grey hair, and has been molded with an open mouth, but remains primarily unpainted apart from a black strip across the eyes. The hands are restrained with handcuffs made from resin, and resting on the lower half of the torso is a resin cross that has been stuck down with glue. Covering the legs of the body is a pair of black jeans that have been folded over where the body ends.
This item measures approximately 20" x 11" x 48” (51cm x 28cm x 122cm) and has tears in the right forearm and hand which expose the metal understructure, but remains in otherwise good production used condition.
