Matthew Crawley's (Dan Stevens) mess dress uniform from the historical drama television series Downton Abbey. Crawley wore his mess dress uniform in Season 2, including in the third episode during a dinner at Downton Abbey held in honour of General Herbert Strutt (Julian Wadham).
The costume comprises a peaked cap, a red wool jacket with rank insignia and regimental badges, a black bow tie, a navy waistcoat, a white shirt with a detachable collar (labelled "16 Cos"), and navy trousers with red side stripes and attached braces (labelled "M6"). An Angels costumer label is sewn inside the shirt, while other components include additional labels showing the names of different actors, indicating some elements were reused in other productions. An extra cap is included, and the shirt studs differ from those seen on screen. The uniform exhibits minor production wear, including pulled threads and small patches of wear on the hat and trousers.
