An original 1975 Don Post Studios Captain Kirk (William Shatner) mask. These masks were made famous by John Carpenter's horror movie Halloween. In the first instalment of this influential, decades-spanning horror series, Michael Myers, aka The Shape (Nick Castle), went on a murderous rampage in his hometown of Haddonfield after escaping a sanitarium. Myers wore his iconic mask as he stabbed and strangled his victims throughout the film.

Carpenter used a Captain Kirk mask for both Halloween and Halloween II, altering the design by painting it white, adding faux hair at the back of the scalp, and cutting out larger eye holes in the face.

This is an original 1975 Don Post Studios mask, made from a lifecast of William Shatner, who played Kirk in Star Trek, and its excellent condition makes it an incredibly rare piece, revered by Halloween's fans who have studied it intensely. This specific mask was not used on the film and as such it maintains all of its Captain Kirk features, as it has not undergone the alteration process to become a Michael Myers mask. The Captain Kirk mask was discontinued by the studios in 1976, and this one has since been foam-filled for display purposes. Dimensions: 24 cm x 17 cm x 28 cm (9.5" x 6.75" x 11")
