A pack of Red Apple cigarettes with pouches, matchbox and labels from Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. Django Freeman (Jamie Foxx) rolled and saw advertisements for tobacco products made by Red Apple - a fictional brand that has appeared in multiple films by Tarantino - throughout the film, including in Tennessee and on Calvin Candie's (Leonardo DiCaprio) plantation, Candyland.
Created by property master Hope Parrish, this lot consists of two brown paper-wrapped Red Apple cigarette box with a production-made label; a box of Red Umbrella matches; and two cream muslin Red Apple long cut tobacco pouches, as well as two matching, unfolded "Red Apple Sweet & Mild Cigarettes" labels with the tagline "Pure and Sweet"; a "Red Apple Smoking Tobacco" label featuring the brand's distinctive cigarette-smoking caterpillar mascot; a similar, more detailed "Genuine Red Apple" label with the colors reversed and featuring manufacturer name "A. Lindskog"; an "Old Red Apple Tobacco" logo dated "1850" and featuring an apple graphic, sans caterpillar; and an unfolded "Old Red Apple Long Cut Tobacco" label numbered "8971."
