This is a stunning original UK Quad film poster for Robert Aldrich's World War 2 action extravaganza "The Dirty Dozen" featuring Frank McCarthy artwork. The artwork is identical to the first release 1967 poster, except the blue "Damn Them or Praise Them" tagline has been repositioned to a more central position. The dark background is a lovely deep black with Major Reisman (Lee Marvin), Joseph Wladislaw (Charles Bronson) and Robert Jefferson (Jim Brown), seeming to leap from the paper almost 3D style. Tom Chantrell was hugely influenced by the composition of this poster in the design of the now-iconic Style C Star Wars poster replacing the machine guns with lightsabers and laser blasters.
