Offered here are 12 ad proofs and five poster proofs featuring Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty), The Brow (Chuck Hicks), Flattop (William Forsythe), and "Big Boy" Caprice (Al Pacino), an impressive archive of Dick Tracy poster art for the discerning collector.

Included in this great lot of graphics material produced for Warren Beatty's comic book adaptation among other things are (5) one sheet mock-ups with color notations and pasted taglines which would produce the final poster output, color proofs for many publications, and other items used to generate the publicity campaign.

In 1990, the movie Dick Tracy was released, with Warren Beatty starring, producing and directing the film. The character of Dick Tracy was created by cartoonist Chester Gould, and the film stayed true to the source material, bringing to life the array of peculiar villains that Tracy had faced in the comics. Although plans to turn the film into a franchise never materialized, it remains one of the most unique movies ever to come to the screen, and a somewhat underappreciated gem of the comic book genre that has since become a staple of modern cinema.
