Scraps underworld armor from Marco Brambilla's Demolition Man. The resistance society, known as Scraps, dressed in makeshift armor from old tires, ambushed the restaurant where Sergeant John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone) and Lieutenant Lenina Huxley (Sandra Bullock) shared a meal with Dr. Raymond Cocteau (Nigel Hawthorne) so they could have a few pieces of food.

The Scraps were the visual and philosophical heart of the film's social commentary. Their costumes, made from the "junk" of the past, are a tangible representation of their rebellion against the sanitized, controlled future.

This lot consists of a black rubber, nylon, and foam vest with shoulder pads sculpted to resemble tire patterns; a pair of extra shoulder coverings marked with illegible markings; a pair of black rubber and foam shin guards sculpted to resemble tire patterns marked "R. SHIN," "#1," and illegible writing; a matching black rubber, nylon, and foam codpiece; and a pair of black leather belts marked "Russell," "PPO," and illegible markings. This lot features production-added distress and exhibits cracked foam and chipping paint.
