Madeline Ashton's (Meryl Streep) puppet arm mechanism from Robert Zemeckis' Death Becomes Her. Despite her husband, Dr. Ernest Menville (Bruce Willis), pushing her down the stairs, Madeline survived thanks to Lisle von Rhuman's (Isabella Rossellini) potion, albeit with her neck twisted around her body.

Madeline's disfiguration was brought to life with a combination of live-action photography, computer-generated effects, and animatronics. This animatronic was created by special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI), whose co-founder, Tom Woodruff, Jr., won the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects for his work on the film alongside Ken Ralston, Doug Chiang, and Douglas Smythe. Markings on its hand match it to behind-the-scenes footage of the ADI team testing the arm.

The arm features jointed steel "bones," a rubber elbow pad, rubber-wrapped cords, and servos connected to a long resin hand, all of which are tied at various places with metal wire. Foam skin remnants are visible on the fingers, bluescreen paint is applied along portions of the arm, and the wiring at the upper end of the arm has been cut since production.
