Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe issue 17 page 27 published by DC Comics with a July 1986 cover date. Page 27 featured a profile of Christopher Smith, aka the Peacemaker, written by several notable contributing DC Comics writers, including Mike W. Barr and Paul Kupperberg, with pencils by Keith Giffen and inks by Gary Martin. The Peacemaker first appeared in Charlton Comics' Fightin' 5 No. 40 in 1966, then was folded into the DC Comics universe when DC purchased Charlton. His first appearance in DC Comics occurred in Crisis on Infinite Earths No. 6 from September 1985.
This splash comic art board features an appearance by the Peacemaker near Smith's chateau and arsenal in the Swiss Alps. Its background is rendered in ink on vellum, then applied to Bristol board on which the Peacemaker figure is hand-drawn and "Giffen" is handwritten. Printed cut-outs of the Peacemaker logo and copy from the comic book were also applied to the board after production for display purposes. The reverse is stamped "Keith Giffen." The board exhibits some staining and discoloration from age. Dimensions: 17" x 11.25" (43.25 cm x 28.75 cm)
