A severed vampire head from the 2009 horror film Daybreakers. In the year 2019, a plague has turned the majority of the population into vampires, and the declining blood supply has led to the search for a cure. In the film, vampires who become deprived of blood for a long period of time become bat-like creatures known as "subsiders".
A subsider breaks into Ed's (Ethan Hawke) home during an argument with his younger brother Frankie (Michael Dorman), forcing the two to kill it. Made of silicone, the head has acrylic eyes, yellow hand-punched hair lined along the top of the head and teeth with fangs. Finished in flesh tones, the head has a fixed expression with an open mouth.
The piece shows minimal signs of wear from production, but remains in overall great condition.
