A C-type photographic print featuring an image of David Bowie taken by photographer Janet Macoska. This shot was taken during Bowie's concert at the Richfield Coliseum in Ohio on 22 April 1978. This lot is part of the Rockarchive Collection.

This gig was part of Bowie's Isolar II Tour, and the musician enforced a strict ban on photographers throughout the tour. Macoska was one of the lucky few who gained permission, making images from this time particularly rare. It is printed on archival paper and comes in a white card mount. Macoska has signed the mount in black ink and also written "David Bowie, Richfield Coliseum, April 22, 1978". The mount exhibits some minor marks. Dimensions (in mount): 48 cm x 38 cm (19" x 15")

Acclaimed music photographer Jill Furmanovsky founded Rockarchive in 1998, inspired by the world-renowned Magnum Photo Agency.
