Batman's (Christian Bale) light-up CG-33 EMP gun from The Dark Knight Rises. Batman used his EMP blaster to disable lights and motorcycles while he chased Bane's (Tom Hardy) men through tunnels as they fled the police. Shortly thereafter, it was shot at and damaged by a GCPD officer after the EMP gun's only use. Batman's weapon is initially seen in a closed position, with the front shroud pulled to the rear, mounted to the rear right of the Batpod. Batman was able to remotely fire it multiple times in the tunnel chase scene before stopping, removing it from its mount, reconfiguring it to the gun format and firing it directly.
Similar to the Batpod designed by production designer Nathan Crowley, Batman's EMP gun was designed with a military aesthetic in mind. In an interview with Cine Web Radio, concept artist Tully Summers commented that the designs for The Dark Knight Rises were intended to be functional and practical rather than "sleek and product design pretty," lending to the film's war-like motif.
This light-up black metal and resin CG-33 EMP gun features a functional sliding shroud on a metal guide rail. The stock is metal and a number of parts are rubber. The lights are enabled by a switch in the rear of the gun. It has undergone sympathetic restoration to restore light functionality. It does not have the post to mount it to the Batpod, and does not having the clear caps over the lights. It exhibits scuffing and chipped paint. Dimensions: 26" x 8" x 2.5" (66.25 cm x 20.5 cm x 6.5 cm)
Contains electrical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
Estimate: $10,000 - 20,000
