Four storyboards hand-drawn and annotated by renowned sketch artist and production illustrator Michael G. "Mike" Ploog for the production of Jim Henson's and Frank Oz's The Dark Crystal. In the film, SkekTek, the Scientist (Steve Whitmire) repeatedly rebuffed SkekSil, the Skeksis Chamberlain (Oz), as he attempted to wheedle his way to the Skeksis throne.

These storyboards depicting SkekTek recoiling from SkekSil after the latter ambushes the former in the Castle of the Crystal originate from the collection of Gerard Bourke. They are rendered in black crayon on paper with black marker borders and colored pencil annotations such as "Suddenly a Skeksis leaps out from behind a column" [sic] and "Chamberlain pursues the Scientist." The boards exhibit marker bleed on their reverses, yellowing from age, creasing to their corners, and pinholes throughout. Dimensions: (each) 8.25" x 11.75" (21 cm x 30 cm)
