A mechanical Mystic walking puppet head from Jim Henson and Frank Oz's fantasy film The Dark Crystal. The wise and peaceful race known as the Mystics held a spiritual link with their evil counterparts, the Skeksis.

This head features a fiberglass skull covered in foam latex skin with brown glass eyes, hand-punched hair and eyebrows, and a mesh hood on the back. Inside the skull are puppetry mechanisms including a still-functional blinking mechanism designed to allow a single puppeteer to operate it while walking.

The head is mounted to a black wooden base for display. It exhibits wear from use and age, including the extensive drying and crumbling of the foam latex skin, but what remains of the latex has been professionally sealed. Dimensions: 16.75" x 12.75" x 14" (42.75 cm x 32.5 cm x 35.75 cm)
