Hand-drawn concept sketch from Jim Henson and Frank Oz's fantasy adventure, The Dark Crystal. The movie is set on another planet in the distant past, where a Gelfling, Jen (Jim Henson), embarks on a quest to find the missing shard of a magical crystal and restore order to his world.

This piece of art features a concept sketch of a bird-like creature hand-drawn in pencil on paper. This creature’s design does not make it to the final cut of the film. Notations have been included on the side of the drawing, as well as a small doodle and an illegible note written in black pen. This drawing has been mounted to a piece of heavy illustration board. This item features some signs of wear from production use and age, including a dent in the illustration board, but remains in overall excellent condition.
