A set of Lieutenant Commander Ron Hunter's (Denzel Washington) personal accessories from Tony Scott's Crimson Tide. Hunter - the new XO of the USS Alabama submarine - refused to relinquish the con's keys to Captain Franklin "Frank" Ramsey (Gene Hackman), as he feared it would ignite nuclear war with Russian nationalist Vladimir Radchenko (Daniel von Bargen). To guard them, he gave them to a junior member of the ship for safe keeping.
Originating from the personal collection of prop master Mike Papac, this set consists of a static nonfunctional wristwatch designed and branded by production to resemble a real-world Calteck; a gold-color signet ring inset with a synthetic gemstone and engraved "ISS" for renowned Hollywood prop house Independent Studio Services (ISS); a gold-color wedding band; a keyring with looped six brass Schlage keys and a tag engraved "SSBN 731 Master"; and three foam stunt keys. The foam keys were made for an unknown gag. The original watchband has deteriorated but is included. A replica watchband has been installed. Both rings exhibit flaking, and the foam exhibits cracking and bending from production use and age. Dimensions: (largest) 3" x 3" x 0.5" (8 cm x 8 cm x 2 cm)

Mike Papac is among Hollywood's most respected armourers. Active in the film industry since the late 1970s, he served as weapons specialist on action classics including Lethal Weapon and Die Hard, and as property gun master for Predator - all within an 18-month span. By the early 1990s, Papac had become a trusted resource for leading directors such as Tony Scott, Renny Harlin, and Richard Donner, collaborating throughout the decade with stars including Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. His career has encompassed work as prop master and armourer on some of cinema's most successful franchises, from Iron Man and Man of Steel to acclaimed action comedies like Three Kings and Red. Original hero pieces from the Die Hard films are exceptionally rare, and Propstore is proud to present these examples from Mike Papac's personal collection - offered to the public for the first time.
