Henry Northrup's (Hal Holbrook) chess set from George A. Romero's Creepshow. During "The Crate" segment, Henry kept his chessboard in his study where he shared a drink with Dexter Stanley (Fritz Weaver) who was overwhelmed by the deaths of his colleagues who were murdered by a mysterious creature that was discovered in a locked crate hidden under the school's stairwell.

Originating from a crew member, this lot consists of a dark wooden chessboard with white resin detailing; 17 white and 17 black wooden chess pieces. The chessboard features metal hinges and metal clasps to close the board in half. The chesspieces were added to the chessboard post-production. This lot exhibits a broken clasp and scuffing to some chess pieces. Dimensions: (board) 61 cm x 59.75 cm x 5 cm (24" x 23.5" x 2")
