This full-bleed poster features the Creature pursuing his love interest, Julia Adams, in his underwater lair. It is folded and shows signs of wear, including creases and crossfolds, with some areas of paper loss. There is separation along three of the panels and occasional edge wear.

"Creature from the Black Lagoon" is a 3D monster horror film, produced by William Alland and directed by Jack Arnold and stars Richard Carlson, Julia Adams, Richard Denning, Antonio Moreno, Nestor Paiva, and Whit Bissell. The story centers on a team of scientists who discover a fish-like amphibious humanoid in the Amazon. The Creature-also known as the Gill-man-was portrayed by Ben Chapman on land and by Ricou Browning in the underwater scenes. The Creature's design was inspired by 17th-century woodcuts depicting two strange mythical beings known as the Sea Monk and the Sea Bishop. The final version of the Creature's head was modeled after the Sea Monk, while an earlier, unused version had been based on the Sea Bishop. The white one-piece bathing suit worn by Julia Adams literally made a fashion splash and has become an indelible part of horror movie history. The Creature is considered the last of the great Universal Monsters and continues to thrill audiences today.
