A Holy Shotgun shell display from the production of Francis Lawrence’s 2005 fantasy-action film Constantine.
Able to see angels and demons on Earth, the troubled exorcist John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) has seen Hell and knows he is doomed to return there someday. However, when police detective Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) asks for help solving her sister’s suicide, he soon realises the war between God and Lucifer (Peter Stormare) is once again raging.
This bullet and others like it were used by Constantine, along with the Holy Shotgun he uses to eradicate the demons and battle with Balthazar (Gavin Rossdale). Made from resin, this bullet has been finished in faux-gold and is engraved with a continuous intricate design. The design has been inlayed with a darker colour. The bullet comes custom-framed with a laser cut mount board featuring the Latin phrase ‘Qui esiderat pacem praeparet bellum’ - ‘if you want peace prepare for war’, circling around the displayed bullet. The mount board also features the title of the movie and two movie stills showing the bullets in the film. The bullet remains in excellent condition.
