A hand painted drawing depicting the Eye of Provinence from Frank Marshall's 1995 sci-fi film, Congo. Loosely based off the Michael Crichton novel, the film follows an expedition into the jungles of the Congo to locate a missing CIA research team. Led by an intelligent gorilla named Amy, the expedition finds more than they bargained for when they reach the Lost City of Zinj. Illustrations like this were can be seen hanging in the research offices of Berkley where primatologist Dr. Peter Elliott (Dylan Walsh) teaches Amy to speak through sign language.

This drawing shows a single eye painted within a simple jungle background, and represents the Eye of Provinence found within the Lost City of Zinj. The painting has been made on a white posterboard that shows some wear to the thick paper due to production use and storage (see photos) however the prop remains in overall good condition.
