A set of Ron Cobb hand-drawn Cimmerian village design artwork from the production of John Milius' 1982 action fantasy film Conan the Barbarian.
A young boy, Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger), becomes a slave after his parents are killed and tribe destroyed by a savage warlord and sorcerer, Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones). When he grows up he becomes a fearless, invincible fighter. Set free, he plots revenge against Thulsa Doom.
Artwork was made to design set pieces, props and costumes. This set consists of five pieces of paper with hand-drawn sketches of different places in the Cimmerian Village. The artworks show various wear from production use with creases and folds, the paper has discoloured from age and become fragile. Considering the age of the set, it remains in a very good condition.
