A life-size posable Antarean body from Ron Howard's sci-fi comedy-drama Cocoon. Ancient aliens lived in cocoons kept in a rejuvenating pool to allow them to survive the trip home. This model is the "breathing" version, which features a rubber pipe at the base of its spine, through which air could be pumped.

The hand-painted body is made of semi-rigid urethane with a jointed metal armature, which allows it to be curled into a foetal position. Sections of the body have been wrapped in light elasticated material. It is intentionally distressed, and the alien is missing several toes. Dimensions (laid flat): 175 cm x 48 cm x 21 cm (69" x 19" x 8 1/4")
