A board of thumbnail illustrations hand-painted by renowned conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie for the production of Ron Howard's Cocoon. Jack Bonner (Steve Guttenberg) helped a group of extraterrestrial Antareans retrieve their species' cocoons and hide them in a swimming pool next to a retirement home. For his work on the film, McQuarrie won the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects alongside Ken Ralston, Scott Farrar, and David Berry.

The four illustrations on this illustration board depict the Antareans scuba-diving for the cocoons into the ruins of Atlantis alongside friendly dolphins. They are rendered in mixed media with graphite borders. The board exhibits yellow residue from where a strip of tape was previously applied, as well as minor smudges and stains throughout. Dimensions: 15" x 11.5" (38.25 cm x 29.25 cm)
