Four Mothership landing VFX storyboard pages hand-drawn by production illustrator George Jenson for Steven Spielberg's sci-fi film Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) and Jillian Guiler (Melinda Dillon) watched as the alien Mothership landed at Devil's Tower.

Created to coordinate the visual effects needed in the landing sequence, this set consists of four storyboard pages numbered "Effect 53," "54," "55," and "58." Each is annotated and rendered in ink, graphite, and correction fluid on serrated drawing paper. The set exhibits some staining and discoloration from age. Dimensions: 11.75" x 9" (30 cm x 23 cm)
