This example of the film's Country-of-Origin full-bleed British quad is folded and displays perimeter pin holes, two small stains above the lower edge, fold wear with sporadic crimping and light crossfold separation, sporadic edge wear with toning and faint bleed-through in the white field next to McDowell's knife from a small piece of yellowed cellophane tape on the verso

Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell) and his droogs barbarize a decaying near-future in "A Clockwork Orange," a dystopian crime drama directed, produced and adapted by Stanley Kubrick from Anthony Burgess's 1962 novel. Set in a bleak, near-future Britain, the film explores unsettling and violent themes as a critique of psychiatry, juvenile delinquency, youth subcultures, and broader social, political and economic issues. McDowell's eyes were numbed during the torture scenes to minimize discomfort during filming. Despite this, the metal lid clamps repeatedly scratched his corneas and the doctor overseeing Alex during the forced film-watching scenes was an actual medical professional, present to make sure his eyes remained properly hydrated.
