The Sword of the Gods from the 2010 reboot of Clash of the Titans. Zeus (Liam Neeson), king of the gods, is tricked into sending his downtrodden brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) to Earth to make the mortals fearful of the gods’ power – never reckoning on the intervention of demi-god Perseus (Sam Worthington) as he fights to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos), princess of Argos.
This sword was used by Perseus on his adventures through ancient Greece. A sword imbued with the magical power of Olympus, the blade of the sword emerged from the handle when called upon to do battle by Perseus. CGI was used to create the blade’s extending effect on screen, with this full-length version of the sword used for the film’s fight sequences and when planted in the ground by Perseus during his battle with Calibos (Jason Flemyng).

Made of hard rubber, the sword handle is marked with intricate line patterning running from the pointed bottom to the top, with the design replicated on both sides. The sword’s blade has designs featuring the Gods hunting alongside Apollo’s cosmic chariot, with the path of the chariot defined by swirling markings forward to the blade’s tip. The weapon has been finished in faux-silver paint, giving it an ethereal shine.

In very good production-used condition, the sword comes presented in a stunning framed display featuring a laser-cut matte board with the film’s logo and stills from the blockbuster production. The front panel opens to allow direct access to the piece.
