Perseus' (Sam Worthington) screen-matched costume from Louis Leterrier's 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans. Perseus wore his costume throughout the film as he battled the minions of the underworld to prevent Hades from conquering heaven and Earth.
The underlayer of the costume consists of a khaki linen tunic which features a geometric pattern and a pair of khaki briefs. Made of polyurethane, the breastplate has been finished in dark grey and brown tones to replicate the appearance of beaten steel, and matches to the one seen on screen by small flecks of dirt along the shoulder. Shoulder straps displaying scale-like detailing and raised circular pendants have been attached to the front and back of the armor with brown suede cord. The breastplate is fringed with strips of black faux leather. Also included is a pteruges-style skirt made of black faux leather and a pair of brown leather lace-up sandals. The costume is accompanied by Perseus' sword. The weapon is made from rubber and features cast-in intricate swirling wave patterns on both sides of the blade. The horseshoe-shaped guard displays five conical protrusions on each side and multiple cast-in lines are present on the grip. Blue and green paint has been applied to add distressing to the blade and the piece has been finished to appear like bronze. The costume exhibits intentional distressing from the production and minor paint wear, scratches, and marks on the armor; minor damage on the sword's blade tip and pommel, and the pattern on the tunic has faded over time, but is still visible.
Estimate: $8,000 - 16,000
