A gold Perseus (Sam Worthington) sword used in the production 2010 reboot of Clash of the Titans.

Zeus (Liam Neeson), king of the Gods, is tricked into sending his downtrodden brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) to Earth to make the mortals fearful of the Gods’ power – never reckoning on the intervention of demi-god Perseus as he fights to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos), princess of Argos.

Perseus used his sword on his adventures through ancient Greece, ultimately losing it in his battle with Calibos (Jason Flemyng).

The sword is comprised of a metal blade which has been finished in faux-gold paint. Cast in intricate swirling wave patterns features on both sides of the blade, running from the guard to the tip. The horseshoe shaped guard displays five conical protrusions on each side, with Verdigris detailing applied and brown suede cord has been wrapped around the grip.

The sword displays intentional paint wear to create a worn appearance and majority of the faux-gold paint has worn away on the weapons guard and the circular shaped pommel displays signs of wear. However, in spite of this wear the sword remains in very good condition.
