A fantastic costume worn in the production of the Vin Diesel sequel The Chronicles of Riddick. Riddick (Vin Diesel), hidden for five years after the events of the movie Pitch Black, is forced to come out of hiding to fight the villainous Necromongers, and fulfil a dark prophecy in the process.
This costume was worn by the nefarious Necromonger Lord Marshal (Colm Feore) in the final battle between Riddick and the Necromonger commander, as the Lord Marshal tries to prevent his prophesised demise at the hands of the Furyan renegade.

Made for hero use in close-up scenes were stunts were not required, the costume consists of an ornately detailed metal cowl with a lined chain mail hood, with links being made from titanium, with highly detailed shoulder armour with a face design on each side made in hard rubber. Both the breast and back plates are made from hard rubber and have hand cut leather inserts. The upper leg armour, arm armour and cod piece are also made from hard rubber with various ornate, inlaid detailing. The entire armour set is finished in shades of brown and bronze to give the armour an intimidating, regal and worn appearance.

Underneath the armour is a black body suit made of a lycra type fabric to allow easy movement during stunts. The gauntlets are made from black leather with gold painted decoration. The greaves are made from metal plating (both of which are marked "LM R", indicating they are both greaves intended for use with right legs) with metal hook fastenings and have black leather boots underneath.

A highly imaginative and creative suit of armour, the costume remains in an overall good production-used condition, with some light damage to the armour’s arm plates. The knee plates have also come away from their mountings from use, and have been temporarily attached for photography. No sizes marked.
