A troll mask from the production of Andrew Adamson’s 2005 fantasy adventure film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, adapted from the book of the same name, written by C.S. Lewis.
During the World War II bombings of London, four English siblings are sent to a country house where they will be safe. One day Lucy (Georgie Henley) finds a wardrobe that transports her to a magical world called Narnia. After coming back, she soon returns to Narnia with her brothers, Peter (William Moseley) and Edmund (Skandar Keynes), and her sister, Susan (Anna Popplewell). There they join the magical lion, Aslan (Liam Neeson), in the fight against the evil White Witch, Jadis (Tilda Swinton).
This item is the moulded rubber head of a troll. This mask, and others like it, were made for the production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to dress the supporting artists who make up the White Witch’s gang of monstrous thugs. The mask has realistic plastic eyes, resin ‘rotten’ teeth and intricately arranged artificial; hair over the eyebrows and along the jawline.
This item has a small strip of felt fabric along the bottom, which presumably enabled it to blend seamlessly with the rest of the actor’s costume. Despite its production use, this item remains in very good condition.
Materials: Rubber, Resin, Plastic, Artificial Hair, Man Made Woven Fibres.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
