A Satyr mask made for Andrew Adamson's adaptation of C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The Satyrs' are ram-like creatures that are a part of the army that assists the children in the film. Background actors may be seen throughout the film wearing Satyr masks similar to this one.
The mask has been engineered to sit on top of the actor's head and has visibility through the neck. This gives the actor the appearance of a larger stature. This mask resembles On the inside of the mask is a plastic underskull that is lined with moleskin padding and has a Velcro strap for tightening on the back. The skin of the mask is made from foam latex and has faux hair applied throughout. Each horn is made from a dense foam. with one being "broken" at the point from a past battle. Realism is added to the mouth via a set of fully painted acrylic teeth and a pair of acrylic adds complete the look of this realistic Satyr mask.
One of the horns has been broken but has been glued back together making signs of the damage only visible upon close inspection. Additionally, some fur has been scraped from the upper lip of the Satyr but this mask remains in otherwise great condition.
