A full Telmarine Soldier's costume from the 2008 epic fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Costumes such as this can be seen towards the end of the film as the Telmarines and the Narnians battle for the crown. This complete costume was made by the legendary New Zealand based effects company, Weta, also responsible for Peter Jackson's stunning Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Weta has a reputation of making costumes and props to an incredibly high standard; they even produce their own chainmail!
Made from multiple layers of fabric and leather, this beautifully crafted costume consists of a long sleeve vinyl chainmail over a lace up under shirt (half leather, half fabric). Over the chainmail armour is a velour studded sleeveless coat and on top of that is a studded, full leather vest with four belt closures. The trousers are made from cream coloured cotton and feature a repeating star pattern throughout. Also included with the costume are a pair of knee high black leather boots, a pair of leather greaves, two leather gauntlets with decorative acid-etched metal armour over the hand, a metal alloy helmet also etched by hand with acid, and finally an imposing life-like bearded silver fibreglass mask secured to the wearer with an elastic strap.

The entire ensemble is in a well used condition with evidence of use on set and no obvious damage. A superb opportunity to own a piece of Weta's incredible work, from the movie adaptation of one of English literature's most famous stories.
