Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's sidelamp from Ken Hughes' Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. After widowed inventor Caractacus Potts (Dick Van Dyke) renovated a run-down Grand Prix racing car for his children Jemima (Heather Ripley) and Jeremy (Adrian Hill), they named it Chitty Chitty Bang Bang after the tune its engine made.

The sidelamps for the vehicle were manufactured by Toby Baxter, Ltd, a London-based fabricator of picture vehicles. This sidelamp is made primarily of metal painted gold and inset with a clear plastic lens designed to open in order to place a light bulb in the interior. It features rubber-coated wiring at the back which was cut following production, rendering the lamp nonfunctional, as well as faux gold "Toby Baxter" insignias on the top and side. Also included is a color-printed still of the Potts family inside Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This lamp exhibits tarnishing, chipping paint, and a crack running across the lens' diameter. Dimensions: 9.5" x 9" x 14.5" (24.25 cm x 23 cm x 37 cm)
