Richard Attenborough Annotated Script Pages

A set of script pages annotated by Richard Attenborough from the production of his 1992 Oscar®-nominated biopic Chaplin.

Originating from Attenborough's estate, these script pages were used by the director, and many of the pages feature his personal annotations, all handwritten in black marker. Displaying the film's original working title ‘Charlie’ and marked as a final version, the set is dated March 1990 and comprises 43 loose pages printed on white A4 paper. The set is accompanied by seven rewrite pages, held together with a paperclip, and two sticky notes addressed to ‘Bunter’, Attenborough's nickname. There is also an instruction to ‘C.C. Diana’, referring to Diana Hawkins, who wrote the initial story outline.

The front page displays a small tear, and some light staining is present on some pages, but overall the script remains in an excellent, production-used condition.
