A costume worn in the sci-fi thriller The Cell. Child psychologist Catherine Deane (Jennifer Lopez) has developed a new method of treating coma patients, using virtual reality to enter their minds and bring them back to consciousness. When the deadly serial killer Carl Rudolph Stargher (Vincent D’Onofrio) falls into a coma, Agent Peter Novak (Vince Vaughn) asks her to enter his mind to find his final, trapped victim, not realising they will become trapped in his mind - and at his mercy.
This costume was worn by mass murderer Stargher as Deane and Agent Novak enter the psychotic realm of his dreamscape. The virtual reality suit is a full body suit made of rubber, sculpted to look like exposed muscle fibres, with a pair of rubber boots to cover the feet, and finished in red. The body suit has a thick metal zipper running up the back while the left arm features a port for connecting the suit to the virtual reality device. A pair of comfort socks, marked “Vincent” on the Velcro fastenings and worn inside the boots, complete the costume.

Well used on the production, this unique costume remains in a very good production-used condition, with minimal damage to the paint finish and the rubber remaining flexible to the touch. The costume is has no sizes marked.
