A costume worn in the sci-fi thriller The Cell. Child psychologist Catherine Deane (Jennifer Lopez) has developed a new method of treating coma patients, using virtual reality to enter their minds and bring them back to consciousness. When the deadly serial killer Rudolph Stargher (Vincent D’Onofrio) falls into a coma, Agent Peter Novak (Vince Vaughn) asks her to enter his mind to find his final, trapped victim, not realising they will become trapped in his mind - and at his mercy.
This costume was worn by Novak as he enters the psychotic realm of Stargher’s dreamscape. A male variant of the virtual reality suit, it is a full body suit made of rubber, sculpted to look like exposed muscle fibres, with a pair of rubber boots to cover the feet, and finished in red. The body suit has a thick metal zipper running up the back while the left arm features a port for connecting the suit to the virtual reality device. A pair of comfort socks marked “Vince” internally on the Velcro fastenings have also been included to complete the costume.

Well used on the production, this unique costume remains in a very good production-used condition, with minimal damage to the paint finish and the rubber remaining flexible to the touch. The costume is has no sizes marked.
