A handwritten plane crash birthday card from Robert Zemeckis' drama Cast Away. Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) read the Wallace Stevens quote "The most beautiful thing in the world is, of course, the world itself" from a birthday card on the desert island where he crash-landed.

This lot consists of a color greeting card printed with a Sidney Stanley illustration on front and Stevens' quote on the interior. It is hand-signed "Johnny, Have the happiest birthday ever! Score! Your Grandpa" in blue pen. Also included is a white envelope hand-labeled "Johnny" in matching script. Both exhibit edge wear and light creasing. Dimensions: 5" x 7" (12.75 cm x 18 cm)
