Chuck Noland’s (Tom Hanks) pager from Robert Zemeckis’ moving 2000 survival drama Cast Away.

FedEx employee Chuck Noland’s plane crashes as it crosses the South Pacific, leaving him as the only survivor. Marooned on an uninhabited island, he must fend for himself using what remains of his plane’s cargo.

During the scene when he was first marooned, Chuck placed his pager on a box alongside the watch featuring a photo of girlfriend Kelly Frears (Helen Hunt).

The pager is made from black plastic and features small, simple switches, an orange LED light and a screen across its top end. The features a printed strip of digital numbers, indicating that this was one of several bleepers made for the production. A hinged belt clip is fixed to the back, with a small lanyard or carabiner hook on one side. There is a locking compartment for one AA battery underneath.

Despite minor wear from production use and natural ageing, the item remains in very good overall condition. It is not in working order.
