A propmaking crew t-shirt from the production of Joe Johnston’s 2011 superhero action film Captain America: The First Avenger.
Weak but plucky Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) enlists in the army during World War II and is chosen to take the experimental ‘Super Soldier serum’. It imbues him with superhuman strength, transforming him into Captain America, and puts him on the front line in the war against the leader of Hydra, the mysterious Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
This black t-shirt and others like it were given to members of the propmaking department as a memento for their time on the production. It features the Captain America shield on the left breast with ‘Captain America Propmaking Department’ written around it. On the back is the Hydra logo and ‘Kapitan Amerika 2010’ printed, along with other codes and German words. The t-shirt is a size ‘M’.
The t-shirt remains in an unworn condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres.
