A Hydra 1-5 selector switch from the production of Joe Johnston’s 2011 Marvel action-adventure film Captain America: The First Avenger.
Scrawny Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is rejected for military service as the USA marches to war against Japan and Germany. Helped by Dr Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci), Rogers enlists as part of a “super soldier” experiment, becoming the famous Captain America and taking the war to the nefarious Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
Switches like this were made for the production and appear on the walls of Hydra facilities, such as on Dr Arnim Zola’s (Toby Jones) train, which Captain America and his allies stormed later in the film.
The switch features a hardened plastic dial with the Hydra logo debossed onto the end, attached to a metal plaque with the numbers one to five printed on. The switch has some wear from production use and age, including a considerable amount of rust on metal screws on the back, and a build up of grime on the front. Despite this it remains in an otherwise good condition.
Materials: Plastic, Ferrous Metals.
